There are a few words in Latvian, that do not belong to either feminine or masculine gender. These words have the endings of the feminine gender, but they can denote both males and females.

Declension
In Datīvs, the actual sex of the denoted person defines the ending of the word. Use the corresponding declension of either masculine or feminine pattern. For example: paziņa — paziņai (f.) — paziņam (m.).
