Feminine nouns

Feminine nouns in Latvian end in the Nominative (Nominatīvs, N.) case in -a, -e, or -s. Depending on the ending, nouns belong to one of the three declensions (IV–VI).

For the fourth and fifth declensions, the ending of the plural is formed by adding -s: -as, -es. In the third declension the plural ending is -i.
